VETERANS
A MUST READ
You are a VETERAN of the United States of America, Armed Forces!
Stand tall and Proud! You served your country with Dignity, Distinction, and Honor. YOU OWE NO ONE a Debt of Gratitude.
They owe YOU!
YOU were a FREEDOM FIGHTER; you kept the WATCH insuring that this NATION stayed FREE!
Whether you served in Combat or “At the Ready”!
YOU SERVED!
YOU WERE WILLING TO GIVE YOUR LIFE, TO DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION AND THE BILL OF RIGHTS of the United States against all Enemies, Foreign and Domestic.
So you owe NO ONE a Debt of Gratitude.
The ONE who is still STANDING WATCH over FREEDOMS GATE!
The ONE who was NEVER Relieved from his Post.
The PRISONER OF WAR and The MISSING IN ACTION!
WHEN WILL HE BE RELIEVED FROM HIS POST????
VETERANS we OWE HIM, to make our Government and the Governments of the Countries he fought in, to ACCOUNT for his whereabouts.
We owe HIM to NEVER FORGET he is STILL Standing WATCH!
We owe HIM to do everything possible to get HIM relieved from his Post!
We owe HIM a Debt of Gratitude!!!
WE OWE HIM!
(Note* the word Peace Time is too ambiguous. THERE has NEVER been PEACE in this WORLD. We are always watching some country that is Pounding at Freedoms Gate. We are ALWAYS “At the Ready” to Defend Our Country.)
Veterans, I experienced something this Veterans Day I thought ALL VETERANS should be aware of and ACT on it. My local Post Office did not fly the POW/MIA Flag NOR the US Flag on Nov. 10th or 11th. In accordance to LAW: Public Law 105-85, the US Post Office is required to fly the POW/MIA Flag on the following days;
(A) Armed Forces Day, the third Saturday in May.
(B) Memorial Day, the last Monday in May.
(C) Flag Day, June 14.
(D) Independence Day, July 4.
(E) National POW-MIA Recognition Day.
(F) Veterans Day, November 11.
(2) In addition to the days specified in paragraph (1), POW-MIA flag display days include–(B) in the case of display at United States Postal Service post offices (required by subsection (c)(8)), the last business day before a day specified in paragraph (1) that in any year is not itself a business day.
If any of these days falls on a non-business day, postal facilities are required to display the POW/MIA flag on the last business day before the designated day, as directed by Postal Bulletin #21967, dated March 12, 1998.
Let’s all be vigilant - Stop by your local Federal facilities such as the U.S. Post Office a few days before designated POW-MIA flag days, and remind them to fly the flag. And if you see a that a Federal building is not flying the POW-MIA flag in plain view on specified days, give them a copy of this law, and insist that they comply.
Although I have yet to get an answer as to WHY the Post Office does not fly the US Flag or the POW/MIA Flag on the actual holiday (they say because they are closed…hell they’re closed/off BECAUSE of the FLAG) I ask that we ALL contact USPS and our Congressmen/women to MAKE the Federal USPS fly the US Flag and POW/MIA Flag on the ACTUAL DAY!!!
What do they do on Memorial Day?? The US Flag and POW/MIA Flag is to be raised and lowered to Half Mast until noon and than raised to Full Mast.
