What the Viet Nam Vets / Legacy Vets MC San Diego Chapters contribute their time and finances for:

1. Lobbying our Government to account for the Prisoners Of War and Missing in Action of ALL U.S. Campaigns. This includes but not limited to contacting our Congressmen and Senators to push for the accountability from our government.
2. Help Fund the missions to Vietnam to locate and/or the excavation of the remains of the servicemen buried there.
3. San Diego has 22 Servicemen still listed as Prisoners of War and/or Missing in Action in Vietnam. We started what is known as the POW/MIA Posse. We locate the family members of these servicemen, wherever they are now in the United States and deliver to them a Special POW/MIA Flag that has their family members Name and Date of their Missing In Action. We also deliver POW/MIA Flags to Post Offices, Federal Buildings, Business, and ANY other agency that WILL CONTINUE to fly the POW/MIA Flag.
4. Visit our San Diego Veterans Hospital during the year and at Christmas time to deliver gifts to the Veterans that are hospitalized there, (MANY of WHOM do not have any family members visit them during this Holiday Season).
5. Send CARE PACKAGES to our members of the ARMED SERVICES that are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan throughout the year.
6. Contribute our time and services (whatever is needed) to OUR WOUNDED WARRIORS that have returned home with injuries.
7. Attend and Donate what is needed at the Funeral Services of OUR SERVICE MEMBERS Killed in Action.
8. Attend not only the RETURNING HOME Service Members when they arrive back to San Diego, but also the Departing Service Members, just to let them know that WE AMERICANS are there SUPPORTING them and Honoring them for their Service to OUR Country.
9. We also Escort the Moving Wall from City to City & State to State when asked or when not asked….It’s OUR DUTY!

This current WAR has produced more disabled Veterans than ANY WAR the United States has fought since the Civil War!!

LET US NOT FORGET THE SACRAFICES THAT THESE MEN AND WOMEN HAVE MADE FOR OUR FREEDOM!!!
